College to Career Advantage
College to Career Advantage (C2C Advantage) is a software-as-service offering for the college career counseling market. With C2C Advantage, college career counselors and faculty can collaborate with students to foster career development. Students at the college can sign up and log into the site, and then complete exercises and assignments related to career development. I used the cutting-edge web framework Django to substantially reduce development time compared to older methods. Using a flexible but standard framework such as Django enables me to deliver a fully custom application that can still leverage third party plugins such as a Content Management System (CMS). The first client site, for Lemoyne College, launched in September of 2009. More information about C2C Advantage can be found here. Technnologies used: Python, Django, MySQL.
Charles has done the programming on a web-based project that we began in February 2009. I am very pleased with the results on this first version. Charles has shown a great deal of technical knowledge as well as a good grasp of development and user issues that needed to be considered for the project. In addition, I feel he has demonstrated the highest levels of integrity. I intend to continue working with him on upgrades and enhancements to the product. I would strongly recommend him.
